Communication Procedures
We are experiencing some problems of our own, and parents, we need your help. Too often parents are coming up to the school/main office, unannounced, to pick up their child for a variety of reasons (feeling ill, argument with friends, conflict with others) because their child texted them during the school day. This causes confusion in the main office and circumvents the procedures we have in place for signing students out of school. There are procedures in place, that need to be followed if a student feels the need to call home or leave school. Students are to report to one of the offices or even the school nurse, where their concern can be addressed. A child can call home and speak with a parent as needed. Please be helpful in this area, parents. If your child texts you during school hours- which is very possible for her/him to do- and you feel the need to respond, please direct her/him to go to one of the three offices (one on each floor) or even the nurse's office if feeling sick.
Thank you, for your attention to this matter.

Along with 6th grade honors students, a select number of 7th grade students, currently in Pre-Algebra 7, will be taking the IAAT. Coming home with these students yesterday/today is a letter that gives information about the Iowa Algebra Aptitude Test (IAAT) that they will be taking on Wednesday, March 22. The letter has an Opt-Out section at the bottom of the page. It is to be signed by a parent and returned only if you DO NOT want your child to take it.
