Message from the Principal

Dear Wildcat Families,

I am sending this letter to you with deep gratitude and appreciation. Change is never easy, yet it is a constant in life. It is amazing to think of the amount of change we have experienced over the last five years, including the renovation of our amazing building through to the reimagining of learning during this past year.

It has been my true privilege to serve as principal of Westridge Elementary for the past five years. My time with Lake Oswego School District has been full of blessings and incredible people. Together, we have grown immensely, built deep relationships, and learned alongside each other as students, staff, parents, and community partners. We have created a culture of growth and belonging that is talked about throughout Westridge and our surrounding communities. When people hear about Westridge, the reputation is one full of strength, care, innovation, and excellence.

It is with mixed emotion that I share with you that I have accepted a leadership position in Washington State and will be leaving Westridge at the end of this school year. Saying goodbye is never easy; however, I have full confidence in the shared vision we have established here at Westridge of Every Student, Every Day, Whatever it Takes. I have been humbled by how the Westridge community has embraced me as a leader, and I am so grateful for the children, families, teachers, staff and ideas you have entrusted in my care.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Principal Montgomery
