The Spanish Immersion program is moving to Palisades Elementary School, the new, permanent location, starting in the 2021-22 School Year. With newfound space at Palisades, we have opened up the application and lottery process for incoming kindergarteners who are interested in being a part of a possible second strand of the Spanish Immersion program. We have several kindergarteners on the waitlist, and need to fill the remaining open spots in order to open a second kindergarten class for the 2021-22 school year. Click here to apply. Applications for second kindergarten Spanish Immersion class are due by TODAY Friday, June 18 at 3:30 p.m. The lottery will be conducted on June 23 and all applicants will be notified of lottery outcomes by June 25.

Take A Virtual Tour of Lakeridge Middle School

Please click here to watch a video featuring the new Lakeridge Middle School and hearing from students and staff about their experiences in the new building. Thank you Lake Oswego voters for approving the bond in 2017, and making it all possible!

Interested in Serving on Bond Citizen Campaign?

In anticipation of asking LO voters to approved the second phase of our bond program in November, the Bond Citizen Campaign is looking for parents-guardians, residents, teachers and staff who are interested in serving on the campaign committee. The committee has all kinds of jobs, from helping with fundraising and events to coordinating endorsements and communications/social media. The committee is also looking for school and community organization captains to help organize volunteers and get out the word.

Depending on the volunteer job, some preparation work occurs over the summer. Most of the campaign jobs begin at the volunteer kick off Aug. 19 and go through election day in November

If interested in volunteering, please click here to submit an interest form.

LOH Student Council Receives Top Honors

Lake Oswego High School is one of 13 high schools and 4 middle schools in the state receiving recognition as a high achieving leadership program with a Gold Council Award. The award, sponsored by the Oregon Association of Student Councils (OASC) sets high standards for student councils and leadership programs, and honors them if they can reach or exceed these goals.

The leadership programs begin by setting goals in the fall and actively participate in leadership activities and events throughout the year. In order to receive the award, programs must create and encourage activities that promote inclusivity among all students at the school and provide a series of events that include a variety of different areas/disciplines in the school. Along with involvement in the school, they must also demonstrate that they are gaining valuable leadership and professional skills that they can take with them outside of school.

Congratulations to all of the students and the advisor Chris Hill on your top honor for outstanding achievement!

Hunger Fighters Food Pantry: Open and Hiring

The pantry will be open all summer for contactless curbside pickup every Saturday from 1-2:30 p.m.. Visit the website for more info.www.hungerfightersoregon.org

Please Verify Your Student's Information

Beginning April 30, LOSD needs parents-guardians of all students enrolled for the 2021-22 school year to log into ParentVUE and review/update your students' information through the Register/Verify tab. This benefits both families and schools by:

  • Ensuring that schools have accurate information to reach parents and other contacts in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Verification is important even if your address or contact information has not changed over the past year because the school may have incorrect information from a previous year.
  • Confirming parent email addresses for Google Classroom and other applications to participate in your student's learning.
  • Enabling distribution of key information in the district's K-12 Family Handbook and Technology Agreement.

If you have forgotten your ParentVUE password, go to the login page, click "I am a Parent," then click "Forgot Password." If you are unsure whether you have a ParentVUE account, contact your student's school. For assistance with the verification process, refer to the user guide on the LOSD website or contact your student's school.
