Types of energy in roller coaster:
There are many types of energy in roller coasters. For one, there is G-Force. That strange feeling in your stomach on a roller coaster. Another, is inwards force. That force that keeps roller coasters going in loops. Finally, there is obvious kinetic and potential energy. When potential is high, kinetic is low. And vice versa. Potential energy is high at the top of a roller coaster while it is low and the bottom of a loop.
Energy changes:
In the beginning of a roller coaster, potential energy is high, and the kinetic energy is low. As the roller coaster heads down the track, the kinetic energy rises and the potential energy decreases.
Why changes in energy are important:
Changes in energy are important because when potential energy is high, kinetic energy is low. Then, these energies have to change because, all the energies die out after a while, causing a transition in energies.

Safety of roller coaster:
Belt buckles on roller coasters keep the passenger on the roller coaster. Brakes on the roller coaster prevent it from flying off tracks and not making turns. Computer controls control if you are stuck at the top or on the track.
