Peek at the Week

From the Principal’s Desk
Good afternoon Shiloh Families,
I would like to thank all parents and community members who volunteered your time to support Administration in providing our teachers a duty free lunch on Thursday. Your time and commitment to Shiloh Middle School is greatly appreciated. We received positive feedback from teachers and we would not be able to offer this well deserved gift of time, if it were not for you.
Our 8th grade students completed CogAT testing this week. We are now preparing for District Assessments, which will be administered in October. Please continue to talk to your students about remaining focused on academic success, resolving conflicts in a positive manner and reminding them to set high expectations for themselves; academically and behaviorally.
We will host our first Walk-n-Talk for students on Friday, September 27, 2019. We will announce on Monday that any student who receives a discipline referral between Monday, September 16 and Friday September 27, 2019, will not be able to participate. This gives all students an opportunity to earn this privilege. Students whose behavior reflects that they are ready to enjoy being able to walk the outside track with friends, enjoy snacks and music, will be able to pay $5.00 and enjoy this opportunity during their Connections period. While this is a means to promote positive social behaviors; this event also serves as a fundraising event for the school. The funds will be used for future teacher and student incentives, as well as, school beautification projects.
