October Employees and Student of the Month!
Ms. Callis
Ms. Callis has been a great addition to our family. She is a positive role model who is always giving teachers ideas and helping where needed. She is knowledgeable and quite helpful. Ms. Callis has shown so much support to the teachers, not only in PLC’s and planning, but in the classroom as well. She gives great ideas to help those kids who need to be pushed more academically and explains ways to help the kids who need extra support. I’m happy to have Ms. Callis as a coworker.
Mrs. Nitzya
Mrs. Nitzya does so much to comfort them our students. She takes on challenges and supersedes expectations. She cares so much for the students and you can see the great connection she has with each one individually. She gives it her all every single day. She goes above and beyond to help us paras, and is a true leader. I love how she greets our kiddos and is ready to lend a hand whenever or wherever needed.
Kaylen Quintanilla
Kaylen is an amazing peer to the students who need extra support. She is patient and understanding with kids who are non-verbal and she does whatever she can to makes sure they have fun during recess. She asks questions that help her better understand each other's differences and truly shows this months character trait of compassion.
November Character Trait: GRATITUDE
Gratitude is being aware of and thankful for the good things that happen in your life and taking the time to express appreciation and return kindness. You have gratitude when you appreciate the person that did something good for you or made you feel happy. Showing gratitude is an important social skill for your young students to learn because it helps them develop empathy. Raising children who appreciate what they have and what others do for them is an important goal for parents to have. We can work with our youngest students on this skill by simply making eye contact and saying thank you to the person that has done something nice for you.
