Day of Hope: Luther Burbank High School
testimony from the children's area
"We made Gospel Bracelets with 60+ people and had 3 little girls who prayed to receive Jesus for the first time. Pray for Crystal, Aira, and Sharlia. Also, pray for a Muslim woman who came and made a bracelet as she listened to the Gospel presentation. She looked very thoughtful and she took the bracelet with her. I didn't get her name but God knows who she is. Pray that God works in her life and heart and that she comes to know Jesus as her Savior and Lord."
April 25th-May18th Serving Opportunity: "the 99"
Thousands of volunteers from over 56 churches across the region are serving together in a gospel saturation service event called "The 99". "The 99" is a walkthrough theater that graphically reenacts the five leading causes of death in teenagers and young adults, many of which are influenced by drugs or alcohol and can be avoided. The experience ends with a clear presentation of the gospel, followed by an opportunity for young people to give their lives to Christ by praying with an encourager. Each night there is a need for many encouragers to talk with and pray for the young people that go through the experience. You can be a part of "The 99" and help a young person make his or her first step in a relationship with Jesus Christ!
May 17th & 18th: All Church Serve Day
On May 17 & 18, local churches in our area will be joining Bayside Church for the largest community service day in our region with 150 projects! There’s a project for everyone! We wants to mobilize 12,000 volunteers to serve in projects in and around our community, connect members of our churches to ministries and community organizations while establishing new or deepening current relationships within our churches, all of this while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with our words and our actions. To see current service projects and to sign up, visit the Serve Day website here!
