  • Thursday, November 11 is Veterans Day: No School.

  • Wednesday, November 10 is a regular school day -- Not an early release Wednesday.

  • TIME CHANGE: Sunday, November 7 -- Fall Back One Hour.

  • End of Quarter 1 was November 5th. Parents, please check the Teacher Ease gradebook for current grades. If you see "INC," that means your child is missing work and is NOT currently passing or earning credit in that class. Time to get to work!

  • VETERANS DAY! We would like to celebrate the upcoming Veterans Day by recognizing family members of our students and staff who have served or continue to serve in our Armed Forces. If you would like to recognize a veteran in your family and have his/her name displayed at FPHS, please complete this FORM.

  • Homework Center: Need extra help in any of your classes? The HW Center is open Monday through Friday from 3pm to 4pm. Hours are extended on early release Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 4pm. You can attend in person in room 202 (next to the Library) or you can attend virtually at the same times using this LINK.

FPHS 22 Push-Up Challenge!

Did you know that on average 22 veterans a day take their own lives due to PTSD?


In honor of Veterans Day, FPHS is challenging our whole community to join the National November 22 Push Up Challenge and do 22 push-ups each day in November to honor our veterans.


Please, take a video or pictures of you, your class, your sports team, your club, your family, your coworkers, etc. doing 22 push-ups and email it to FPHS ASB Leadership at kpascal@fpschools.org.


Kudos to you, Mr. Call, for taking a few minutes out of your Spanish class and sending in our first video!

Use this LINK to view our current food & hygiene pantry options. Please mark the items you need and staff will put together a bag or box. We will contact you when your items are ready for pick up or delivery. Items can be requested twice a month.   1. Through live-action video and archival photos students will explore the history, culture, and legacy of the first People of the Northwest. Learn about the Native Peoples' food, weapons , clothing, and shelter. Learn about the importance of totem poles and what happened when the Europeans arrived.

Athletes and families,

The Fall sports season is wrapping up this week! The Cardinal Football team will close out the season with a week 10 game at Chief Sealth. Cardinal Cross Country is heading over the pass to Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco, Washington for the state championships. Three athletes (Hattie Lindow, Jadon Shadlow, and Isaac Venable) qualified for the state cross country meet. Volleyball is currently waiting for the seeding committee to determine if they will make the District 3 tournament and if so, what seed they will be. Soccer won their first round playoff game 3-2 vs. Highline, but ended their season on Thursday evening in a loss to Lindbergh. Thank you Fall sport athletes!

Winter Sports

Winter sports are coming fast. Below is a list of coaches for our winter sport programs. Bowling has already begun, Flag football starts on November 22nd and all other winter sports will be starting on November 15th. Please be sure to have had a physical within the last two years and register in familyID. Register at this link.

FP Schools Quarantine and Isolation Guidelines:

Quarantine

A mandatory quarantine refers to those individuals who have been exposed via close contact to a student or staff member with a confirmed positive COVID test.

The CDC defines a close contact as under 3feet for more than 15 minutes.

  • Students who have been exposed on campus will be notified by the school nurse or administrator and via a district letter.
  • Students who are vaccinated and not feeling symptoms are not required to quarantine due to exposure.
  • Students who are not vaccinated will be required to quarantine for 14 days from the last day of exposure.

Isolation

A mandatory isolation refers to those students or staff who are sick with symptoms (COVID positive or not).

  • Students who exhibit COVID symptoms during school will be required to isolate for 10 days OR provide a Negative PCR Covid test AND be symptom free for 24 hours.
  • Students who test positive will be required to isolate for 10 days from the start of symptoms, or date of positive test, whichever comes first.
