Message from the Principal
Westbrook Families,
It was a special week for all students as we welcomed back an IN PERSON book fair. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers that helped out at the book fair this week. A big thanks to Megan Freeley for organizing the book fair in collaboration with the PTA!
As you may have experienced if you were in the building at anytime this week, or you may have heard from your student, parts of Westbrook were quite warm this week.
As you know, Westbrook is currently undergoing a substantial renovation both to the interior and exterior parts of the building. A part of this renovation is the installation of a brand new cooling tower and system. The HVAC system is still circulating air throughout the building bringing in outside air. We continue to use Merv filters across the building as this is the filter the district has utilized all year long. Without heat or air conditioning, we can expect to experience cooler temperatures in the morning and warmer temperatures in the afternoon. Please dress your children in layers as they will likely be cold and hot at different times throughout the day.
The district office did provide fans for all classrooms at Westbrook on Thursday Morning. We appreciate your understanding as we work through construction, and look forward to welcoming our staff, students and families to the new and much improved Westbrook in August!
Also, a big congratulations to the following Westbrook staff members for hitting milestone years of service in Glenview School District 34.

Mongolian BPAC's Playdate Family Event
We are happy to invite you to the Mongolian BPAC's end of the school year Playdate! Please join us on May 15th from 1-3pm at Richard E Johns Park (2101 Central Rd, Glenview - behind Hoffman school). There will be games and treats for the whole family!

Order Your School Supplies For 2022-23 Before 5/27!
WB/GG PTA is selling School Supply Kits for next school year! When you order a kit, a box with all of your school supplies will arrive in your child's classroom ahead of the first day of school this August. So all of your school supply shopping is done AND delivered-to-school when you order a kit!
Place orders before 5/27. LATE ORDERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Reminder: Make sure to choose the correct grade for the 2022-23 school year. The kit company DOES NOT provide refunds if the incorrect box is ordered.

You can still place an order! The difference is that your yearbook will not be part of the ship-to-school delivery.
Instead, your yearbook(s) will be delivered to your home. Did you know you can also order yearbooks from past years?
