Updates from Señor Hall for Spanish 1
Spanish 1 Week 3
Checking Your Grades
You can check your grades by reviewing your Grades tab on the left hand side of the screen.
- Click the Grades button on the left of the screen
- Pay special attention to scores with a - or a 0. This means you have not completed the assignment and you should do so ASAP.
- Incomplete work and 0s hurt your grade. :(
- Progress Reports come out every two weeks starting next Wednesday, September 19th.
Late Work Policy
If a student does not meet a due date for an assignment(s), the following deductions will be applied:
- 1st week - 10 points for assignments graded on a 100-point scale or 10% for assignments not graded on a 100-point scale; deductions should be applied to the final assignment grade.
- 2nd week - 20 points for assignments graded on a 100-point scale or 20% for assignments not graded on a 100-point scale; deductions should be applied to the final assignment grade.

Always make sure they are keeping up with the Course Schedule of Assignments. I would suggest downloading it and printing it out to make sure you are completing all of the assignments.
Here is the hyperlink for the Spanish 1 Schedule of Assignments:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sp8ZAY-P4FTGA8-2rjC_aXtRKUP9mROhCb0KnGlUE5U/edit
Only the assignments listed there will be counted for your grade. The Práctica and Actividades activities are practice and do not count for your grade, although they MUST be completed in order to move forward in the course.
Required Live Class (RLC) Schedule
The purpose of the Required Live Classes (RLC) is to give students access to their teachers for lessons, Q & A and support in their Spanish classes. The RLC sessions are offered every week at a variety of times. You may attend any session you like. Choose the one that best fits your schedule.
Here is a Google Calendar link to all the Spanish 1 sessions:
Just pay attention to the times, dates and topics:
Remember GS = Getting Started
U1 = Unit 1
U2 = Unit 2
After attending each session, you need to complete a brief reflective assignment including the following items:
When did you attend (provide date and time)?
Who was the teacher/presenter?
What did you cover/learn? (You should include a complete copy of your notes with at least 10 specific things discussed/covered.)
What do you still have questions about? (You should always have questions, so do NOT put "none.")
What do you need to work on/improve? (This should be specific, regarding at least one thing that was discussed in the session.)
How do you plan to improve in the area/s listed above? (Again, be as specific as possible.)
How can I (your teacher) help you? (Again, be as specific as possible.)
Please use COMPLETE SENTENCES in your responses and submit this at the bottom of the RLC Assignment page.
