Boys volleyball hosted 2 nail-biting home games this past week. We are deeply thankful for Ms. Boteilho, Mr. Sarten, and Mr. Walker's efforts in working with students through their artistic and athletic pursuits. Go, Hawks!

We hope your spring break gave you time to rest and recharge. Wednesday's Hopkins Expo was a full house of current and incoming families in celebration of our student learning. Thank you for making the time to join our community event. Thank you, PFA, for helping the location fee of Expo food trucks!
We are looking forward to our continued teamwork with you to support our students' social-emotional and academic progress through the end of the school year, which is coming up soon.

This past week began classroom presentations on TUPE (Tobacco Use Prevention Education) led by our Leadership students. The Leadership class, guided by Madame Chabot, also coordinated Friday's lunchtime TUPE Fair to engage the whole school in this important learning. Please take a moment to ask your child what they know about vaping. Stay curious and keep an open line of communication. If you ever have concerns about your child or other students, please reach out to our counselors or administrators. It takes a village to support our students together.
Thanks to our counselor Ms. Kim's planning, last Wednesday's "Parenting Adolescents" workshop by Dr. David Watt was well attended by current and incoming families. If you were not able to attend, you can access the slide deck on our website.
Lunch Dropoffs: If you need to drop off lunch or other items for students, please leave lunch in our cart outside of the Main Office, and other items can be dropped off in the Main Office. For students' safety, we do not allow students to meet with parents in the parking lot to pick up items directly from a car because we cannot verify the identity of each driver. Thank you for helping us keep students safe.
PFA: The April Parent Faculty Association meeting is Wednesday, 4/5, on Zoom, 6-7 PM. The agenda and Zoom link will be emailed next week.
Boys Volleyball: Our first home game is Thursday, 4/6, against Centerville, 3-5 PM. Wear your green or Hopkins clothing to cheer our student athletes on!
Spring Break: School will be off from Friday, 4/7, through Friday, 4/14. We hope you have time to enjoy some rest and the outdoors as a family.
Hopkins Expo: Save the date for our exposition of student learning on Wednesday, 4/19, 6:30-8 PM. Each department will be showcasing student work throughout our campus. There will be student performances and food trucks. Current 7th and 8th grade families, as well as incoming 6th and 7th grade families, are welcome to attend.
Extracurricular Opportunities:
- Teen Poet Contest: Every year, Alameda County selects a Youth Poet Laureate to help amplify youth voices. Application opens April 1-30, to students between ages 13-18.
