Class Party Friday

We will be combining our classes to celebrate, Friday at 10:15 - 11:15. Please join us if you can!

Students will cycle through stations in both classrooms.

Chocolate Milk Party Update

The Hot Chocolate Party for the 4th graders has changed to a Chocolate Milk Party on Polar Express Day next week.


Please email Julia Dzubinski juliatd@gmail.com if you have a child with a dairy allergy so we can make sure to have a different option for them.

Thursday is Polar Express Day.

Your child may wear their pajamas to school on Thursday 12/20 for Polar Express Day. We will have Polar Express-themed activities in each class in the morning. In the afternoon, we will enjoy the Chocolate Milk Party and watch Polar Express.

Ear buds/Headphones for computers

If possible, we would like each student to bring their own pair of (inexpensive) ear buds or headphones that can live at school to use with Istation and Imagine Math.

Our Learning Targets

Math: We can We can compare and order whole numbers to 1,000,000,000 and represent comparisons using the symbols >, <, or =. We can round whole numbers to a given place value through the hundred thousands place.

Science: We can show what we know on a District Curriculum Based Assessment.

Reading: We can recognize the way an author organizes information in their writing while reading a variety of non-fiction texts. (cause-and-effect, sequence, and comparison)

Writing: We can recognize and use prepositional phrases and transitional words correctly in our persuasive writing.

Social Studies: We can identify the accomplishments of Spanish explorers in Texas.

Emotion Management

When you feel strong feelings, it’s hard to think clearly. Unmanaged, strong emotions can lead to negative behavior and consequences.

Students will be able to:

Describe what triggers their own strong emotions. Describe what happens in their brains and bodies when they experience strong emotions.
