BackPack Pfriends
BackPack Pfriends is a partnership between several churches, volunteer groups, and civic organizations to help meet the needs of students in Highland Park Elementary. DELL currently sponsors HPES and delivers food on Friday for students to take home.
Teachers nominate students that could benefit from having additional food sent home on Friday's. Our counselor will contact families and organize distributions. Students who participated last year will automatically receive a parent permission letter this school year.
Teacher & Staff Member of the Month
We have amazing staff at HPES, and we want to recognize them! Beginning this month, we will recognize a Teacher & Staff Member of the Month! Both will receive the following:
- Lunch provided plus and extra 30 minutes covered
- 1 week of jeans
- Recognition on our morning announcements, campus facebook, marquee and hallway bulletin board. So happy to brag about our fabulous staff!
Remember...
- Students may wear a college shirt on Wednesdays and a school spirit shirt on Fridays
- The first Tuesday of every month, is our first school-wide TUTU/TIE day. What do you do? Simply wear a tutu over your clothes or a fancy tie and join the school-wide spirit! Every first Tuesday of the month is tutu/tie day at HPES!
- Tardy bell rings at 7:35, with announcements starting promptly at 7:40. Traffic is hectic during morning drop-off, please plan accordingly.
