Quiz Bowl Update
For an update on last Tuesday’s quiz bowl meet, the team performed surprisingly well. The team finished the night with a score of 2-2, Winning against Fostoria and Woodmore and losing to Findlay and in a heartbreaking defeat (17-18) they lost to North Baltimore, the team's favorite opponent. The team’s captain, Matthew Robinson, failed to buzz in with the correct answer in the allotted period of time and fell just short. Beyond Matthew’s blunder, the team performed exceptionally. Team Captain Matthew Robinson finished with a score of 41 points, Emma Lau finished with 10, Fischer Bertok with 6, Aaron LeJeune with 5, Alayna Nowak with 5 and Emma Gould with 4. The team is currently standing in fourth place in the league, only bested by the much larger schools, Toledo School of the Arts, Bowling Green and Findlay. Let’s hope the Comet’s can finish flying high this season, and hopefully this time by next year they’ll be soaring in the stars.
