Weekly Updates from Mrs. Cervantes - August 23, 2020


Coyote Ridge Families,


This first week of school was certainly a challenge, and issues with technology were not at all what we had hoped for these first few days. Thank you so very much for your patience and grace as the district worked to find solutions. This next week will be better!


Mrs. Thompson and I have been walking the school visiting classrooms and popping in to a few live meetings with students. The teachers' and students' cheerful smiles have been definite food for the soul! Coyote Ridge staff spend these first crucial days of school building relationships and setting students up for success in a positive learning environment, no matter the "location" of that learning environment. We love partnering with you during these very challenging times, and your words of encouragement and support have certainly kept our spirits up. Thank you again for those!


The majority of information you need is coming directly from your child's teacher (lesson plans, links to live meetings, etc.).

Please remember to complete the annual Back-to-School Forms that are available in Skyward Family Access. Families of new students to the district must complete the online forms packet. Families of returning students will need to edit the forms as needed. Forms must be submitted for every student each school year. Included in the forms is the link to the application for free and reduced lunch.


The back-to-school forms also include LISD’s Acceptable Use Policy for technology devices and systems. Previous links that were available for parents in Skyward Family Access to schedule an appointment are no longer available but there is an updated option.
