Transcripts, Recommendations, Opportunities, and Much More!
- Ask the teacher if they are able to write a recommendation letter in person before placing the request in Naviance.
- Complete your Senior Brag sheet in Naviance so the teacher has interesting content to include in your letter.
- Request the letter at least two weeks before your college deadlines.
- Do not request letters from more than three teachers.
- Know the requirements of your applications. If an institution limits the number of recommendations accepted, only ask one teacher for a letter to that institution. Also remember that not all institutions require or review a letter of recommendation.

Tufts University Fly-In Program
The Voices of Tufts Diversity Experiences, sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, are overnight programs designed to expose high school seniors to the vast diversity that exists in our community. Participants have the opportunity to experience academic and social life by staying in a residential dorm with an undergraduate student, attending lectures from professors, eating in the dining halls, and watching a student-led showcase by several on-campus performance groups. Travel assistance is available for students for whom the trip would present a financial hardship.
Students apply to and attend one of the following diversity experiences:
OCTOBER 19-20, 2017
OCTOBER 26-27, 2017

Onsite College Visits!
Finding the 4-6 colleges that are the right fit for you requires careful research. College visits - either to the campus or at Ben Davis are a crucial component to the college selection and admissions process.
Onsite visits are held at Ben Davis High School and led by admission representatives from the institutions. The reps will generally provide an overview of the academics, cost, financial aid, admission policies, and campus life at their institution. Students will also be able to ask questions. These visits are a great way for students to learn about many colleges and to make a great first impression with the admissions representative.
It is not too late to sign up for visit opportunities as early as next week!
