WORD OF THE YEAR...COMMUNITY.
Southside Robotics
The fall season of Southside's robotics club has wrapped up, and it was a blast! We had a bunch of amazing fifth-grade engineers who returned for a second year and added to their already impressive skills and knowledge of robotics. We also had some super-talented fourth and fifth graders who were new to robotics and learned about building techniques, basic programming, and how to use sensors. The robotics club is such a fun and exciting place for like-minded students to work together, learn new things, and complete tasks. We can't wait for the next season to start!
Southside Basketball and Cheering Update
Our coaches are as follows:
Boys and Girls Basketball- Wendell Harvey
Cheering- Taylor Socoby
Ski 4 Life
The deadline on the permission slips for our Ski 4 Life program has passed. We are now currently waiting to hear back from Big Rock on a date for sizing all participants. We are hoping that Mother Nature cooperates with them and us by giving us some of that white stuff!
THANK YOU!
I (Mrs. Forest), would like to thank all of you for your support over the years at Southside as I fulfilled the role of building principal. As you are all aware, January 5th will be my last day as I take on a new adventure within our community. It has not only been a pleasure being a part of the Southside family, but most importantly a part of your child's life. For that, I am beyond appreciative! The toughest part in leaving is not being able to see the students each and every day. But, I have been telling all of them, that it is not a good-bye but a see you later as there will be many school visits in the future.
