National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony
All Saints celebrated one of its most prestigious events last night - our National Junior Honor Society Induction Ceremony! Twenty 8th Grade students were inducted, representing 60% of the Class of 2017. Those are phenomenal statistics! Special thanks goes to Mrs. Kelley Hammons, NJHS faculty sponsor, and to guest speaker Judge Nancy Beaulieu. We are also grateful for the NJHS officers' parents for hosting the beautiful reception following the ceremony. It was a proud night at All Saints Episcopal School!

SPIRITUALITY
Special Guest in Chapel
On Monday, our 1st-8th Grade students had a special guest speaker and her very furry friend come to chapel. Elizabeth Waddill - All Saints Alum, former parent, and current Board member of the National Parks Conservation Association - brought her friend "Teddy Mather" to educate us on the National Park's 100th celebration this year, and to invite all students and their families to attend a special movie presentation this Thursday. Doors open on September 22nd, at The Jefferson Theater at 6PM, so students can meet Park Rangers and get information about parks across Texas. The documentary "National Parks of Texas: In Contact With Beauty" will begin at 6:30PM. All are welcome! Teddy Mather and Mrs. Waddill took pictures with the 4th grade students because all 4th graders and their families get into ANY national park for FREE during this year of the centennial celebration.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
SHOE TYING BUDDIES
Our 1st grade students had some extra special helpers this week with shoe tying lessons. 8th Grade students buddied up with 1st graders to help them practice this monumental task and important developmental skill. Both age groups had a BLAST!!! It is much more fun to learn something from a Big Kid! And our Big Kids adore their Little Buddies!
