Letter from APC Chair

Subject: Revision to Bylaws, 8th Amendment dated


On September 12, 2016, in regular meeting and in accordance with APC decision, the APC voted to revise its IAP. These revisions, delineated below, are now available for public consideration and comment. If you would like to comment on any of these revisions contact Ladd Parker at ladd.parker@gmail.com or appear in person at the next regular meeting of the FPCS APC scheduled for October 18, 2016 at 6:30 PM.

ASD partnership to bring author Rick Riordan to Anchorage

Barnes & Noble and ASD have partnered to bring bestselling author Rick Riordan to Anchorage. Anchorage will be one of only nine locations for his tour celebrating his new book in the Magnus Chase series, “Hammer of Thor.”

Date: Monday, Oct. 10

Time: 7-8 p.m.

Location: West High School auditorium.


Wristbands are required for admittance to this event. Wristbands are available when purchasing a copy of the “Hammer of Thor” at Barnes & Noble starting Oct. 4. In order to accommodate families, the purchase of one copy of the book will allow for up to three wristbands.

ML&P 2017 Calendar Art Contest

Calling all 4th & 5th graders

Each student who submits artwork will be honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from ML&P and receive a 2017 calendar. ML&P employees will select 13 winning entries and winners will receive two day-passes to the Anchorage Museum. The grand prize winner will receive two day-passes to the museum and an iPod shuffle.
