December 11-15 Santa's Workshop
( Each teacher will notify their parents of their shopping day or days)
12 Days of Giving Begins
Dec. 11 - flour or rice
Dec. 12- Box Mac-n-cheese or boxed pasta
Dec. 13 - Special Kitty Cat Litter
Dec. 14 - Purina Dog or Cat Chow
Dec. 15 - Cat and Dog toys
General
- With it getting colder please send students with a jacket to school. Please make sure their names are in them.
- Please check and sign your child's agenda nightly.
- Students must bring agendas and take home folders to and from school everyday.
- Whenever there is a transportation change it MUST be hand written in their agenda.
- Library- Please make sure your child brings their library books back to exchange for new books.
- Please bring in a snack and water bottle daily, even if they are buying a school lunch.
- When your class starts bringing iPad home, please make sure you charge them nightly and return them to school each day.
- Excuse notes must be submitted within 2 days of your child's return to school.
- If your child is absent for sickness or a trip, they will receive missed work when they return to school. This is a schoolwide policy.
- The courtyard is open. You can come and eat lunch with your child. Check with your teacher for your classroom lunch time.

What we are learning...
ELA
We will focus on creating a mental image when we read.
We will also be learning about theme and the central idea of stories.
Math
We will be learning how to put together and take apart word problems. By using related facts like we have learned in weeks prior students find this easier by connecting these skills.
Fundations
We will be learning about glued "welded" sounds ( ang, ing, ong, ung) ( ank, ink, onk, ung)
We have covered the following sounds / skills.
- short vowels, consonants, Digraphs ( th, wh, ck, sh, ch), bonus letters (l, f, s), glued sounds ( all, an, am) and the suffix -s ( action words and more than one).

Money can be added to students accts. by using the linq app (student number will be needed).
If you send in (cash/check) with your child, please put it in a zip-lock bag with their name on it.
