Student Council Update
During our first Student Council meeting of the school year, we created cards for the veterans to honor Veterans Day. The cards will be distributed at the American Legion to show thanks to all the veterans that risked their lives to help our country. We also discussed our upcoming field trip to decorate pumpkins with the students at First Friends Day Care on Friday, October 28. In November, we will make turkey decorations with the Pine Run kindergartens. We discussed our president's ideas for the upcoming school year. Conor Baumgardner wants to collect money to donate to the CB Farmer's Market. Congratulations to all student council members.
We are looking forward to a productive school year.

The CB Farmers Market at Barclay
Any Central Bucks family who may need a little extra food assistance is welcome to join on us at Barclay Elementary School. Our drive-up food distribution runs from 4:30 to 5:30 PM on the 2nd and 4th THURSDAYS (not Wednesdays, like last year) of each month. We generally have free dry goods, fresh produce, milk, eggs, and bread, and often have some frozen meat and poultry. At each event we pass out an average of 10,000 pounds of food.
No advanced sign-up is necessary. We kindly ask that you do not line up before 4:30 so as not to interfere with our student dismissal, and that you do not block our neighbors’ driveways. If you do line up during our student dismissal, you will be kindly asked to leave. Also, do not pull forward until you are certain that you have enough room and will not block someone’s driveway. Our neighbors are very understanding and supportive of our work, but also need to come and go during our events. We hope to see many families at our food distribution.

Laptop Breakage
We have seen a rise in the number of screen breaks for student laptops. Our policy covers 2 broken screens per device. If your child’s laptop screen breaks 3 times, we will send you an invoice for the repair and labor. The current cost for this is $200. Please remind your child to care for their laptop.
Some simple steps to assist are:
- Use two hands when holding or moving the device.
- Use only the provided digital pen or finger on the screen.
- Use only the power adapter that came with the device.
- Use a microfiber cloth to clean the screen.
- Keep device stored in the provided case. This includes traveling through the hallways, on buses, or anytime the device is not being utilized.
- Make sure nothing is on the keyboard, close the lid, and remove all cables if any are plugged into the laptop.
- Be careful when placing your case on the floor. Keep the device off the floor so screens do not get stepped on by others.
