Theodore Roosevelt

Born on October 27th 1858 in New York. Theodore Roosevelt was apart of a rich family with a lot of power. in his twenties he wanted to make a new image of him self so he's become a great hunter, and later became a rough rider in the Spanish american war. returning a hero he wanted to be a politicization. he became the vice president in 1900. when president McKinley was assassinated he became president. in his presidency he broke down monopolies, conserved 230 million square acres for parks and wildlife preserves. he died January 6th, 1919 at the age of 60

he gits an A Because he led this country out of the gilded age. He helped lead this country into a worker friendly country. He did this because he helped get rid of monopolies which made helped the middle and lower class. the Sherman anti-trust act made the monopolies stop forming.

he also made the people of the US form together and make unions to make a better work force. and even before he was president, he was a good leader. he lead a group of soldiers called the rough riders into battle during the Spanish American War. This is why he deserves an A

he got a B because he was admired by the people of US. He had a lot of charisma and he would take all the air in the room. he was vary intergetic in office. he made people get working rights though his square deal. people loved him because he stood for workers rights. he helped social and economic reform. he also bisness regulation.

He gets a A because he has left a big impact in our countries history. he has made millions of acres of land for parks. he made the work place better for Americans. he has outlawed monopolies that gave more power for the working class. he has made the meat and drugs healthier for Americans. he has made meat factories sanitary.

Teddy has left a great legacy to America.

#26 Theodore Roosevelt

William Howard Taft

William Howard Taft was born September 15, 1857 in Ohio. Before he was president of the US he was solicitor general. Theodore Roosevelt appointed him to secretary of war for the US. Theodore Roosevelt hand picked the Taft for president because he stood for the things Roosevelt stood for. He died on March 8th, 1930.

Taft gets a C because the people of the United States loved Teddy Roosevelt and now they were scepical about Taft. But he was vary grumpy and did not want to be president. Taft was considered a trust buster which meant he stood by the middle class. the people did stand by his side so he was a good leader.

Taft gets a B because he was a bigger trust buster Teddy. but he did not like being president so he did not want to do a lot done. Taft did pass the sixteenth amendment which made the federal government impose income tax. Taft did add 2.7 million square acres to the National Wildlife Refuge system.

Another thing Taft pass was the federal reserve system. under Taft the US brought 90 lawsuits against trust, more than double than Roosevelt. under Taft, the Department of labor established the childrens bureau to "investigate and report upon all matters pertaining to the welfare of children".

Taft gets a D because he did not want to be president which means he was grumpy as president. he eat to much. He hated the presidency. He was the opposite of Roosevelt.

and Roosevelt was a very good president.

The people of the US did not like Taft because he was boring he did not do much and the people of the US see Roosevelt and then they get a boring lazy president. that is one of the reasons why he only served one term. The people did not like Taft

Taft Gets a B because he did do a lot of things while he was in office. He filed 80 anti trust lawsuits. which is twice as much as Roosevelt. Taft alienated many liberal Republicans who later formed the Progressive Party. also he conserved 2.7 million acres to state parks.

Sadly people do not look at Taft and see these things that he did most people know him for his weight problem, his grumpiness while in office and how he got stuck in his bathtub. His carrier was shadowed by Theodore Roosevelt. this is why he got a B

Woodrow Wilson

Woodrow Wilson was born on December 28th 1856 in Virginia, he was the governor of New Jersey in 1911, then he became president in 1913. he ratified the 16th Amendment while he was in office he left office in 1921 and died in 1924

Wilson gets a because he led people through the red scare in 1920. also women got more rights while he was in office. that meant most women thought he was a good leader. He also led this country during World War 1 in 1917. which meant many countries respected him. He did alot of things to make people say he was a great leader.

Wilson gets an A because he did a lot of things while he was in office. He gave women the right to vote and helped women suffrage groups. He also was president of the US while we were in World War 1. he also made a peace treaty called Versailles , and helped put together The League of Nations. this made peace around the world.

He also passed bills such as The Selective Service Act which send 10,000 troops a day to Paris for WW1. Also he passed the Espionage Act and the Sedition Act that suppressed ant-draft activist. He also passed the Nineteenth Amendment which made women's suffrage. That is why he gets a A.

He gets a B because he is a memorable president. people admired what he did for the country at the time. he was admired because of his involvement in World War 1. Also he made the world peaceful with the league of nations. one other thing he did was that he was admired by women because he ratified the Nineteenth Amendment which gave women the right to vote.

He was not that Professional Because he did not want to sign the Nineteenth Amendment. He also believed in segregation. So there were some things that he was not professional about. Also he did not take the red scare that well. He was afraid just like the citizens. another thing is that we did not join the league of nations which weakened our relationship with the rest of the world. That is why Wilson gets a B

He gets an A because he left a huge impact in American history. He got us out of WW1 by making a treaty of Versailles Which. also he helped solve the Red Scare problem in America.

He gave women the right to vote. And he also brought the price down on tariffs. this helped businesses produced goods with a lower prices. this made business thrive. this is why he gets an A.
