It started in the early 1950s
This guy man named Alan Freed was the first to play the music of Rock 'n' Roll. Its definiton is a name that has come to mean music thats both black and white - music that is american. It changed their lives by television and radio into the mainstream, and it became acceptable in the end of the decade. There were record sales that were 189 million in 1950, and grew with a huge popularity of 600 in 1960.

He was known for his duck walk and his electric guitar heard and plaing on his records.

These people such as Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and Willie Mae had changed the importance of music. In order to do so they had to sing and to make records of them to make tons and tons of liker's to be famous.
