Weekly Update for 10-27-19
Joan MacQueen Middle School
Principal Message
Dear JMMS Families,
It was another fantastic week at Joan MacQueen! On Friday, A DJ from Club Live performed at both lunches everyone enjoyed the warm afternoon.
For those of you who were able to join us at the Night of the Jack O Lanterns thank you for your support of the Alpine Educational Foundation. Fun was had for all and the Alpine Schools and local business thank you for your participation.
Our local fire marshall would like to pass along some information concerning afterschool pick-up. The 3rd lane from the curb is designated as a through lane, cars should not park in that lane.
First responders need that lane to make sure that they have access to the front of the campus.
The JMMS teaching staff are meeting this week to finalize our plans for the conference week. Once we have our plan in place details will be sent out via the weekly update and social media. What is for sure is that students will be released at 11:30 a.m. and tutoring will be canceled that week.
Attendance is increasing at our After-School Tutoring and we are excited to announce that we have added before school tutoring in room 404 with Mrs. Skovmand, all students are encouraged to attend. Students who earned a C- or below on the first progress notice are especially encouraged to attend.
