Overview of Holocaust

The Holocaust was a brutal and horrible time during the late 1930s to the mid 1940s.That happened all through out world war 2. During this there were 60 million lives lost 6 million of these lives were lives of Jewish people who were persecuted due to the likes of Adolf Hitler how influenced the German people to hate the Jewish people.

Definition/Background informaion

Auschwitz was one of the main death camps used by the Nazis to exterminate the Jewish population. Auschwitz was first made in April of 1940 near the polish city of Oswiecim. Were at least 1,100,000 Jewish people from all Nazi occupations were sent to live. Were they had to indoor day in and day out horrible conditions.

Original Research Question

How were conditions in Auschwitz? A man who survived the Holocaust recalled that in Auschwitz people were so dehydrated that they would lick the sweat off of their friends and sometimes had to drink their own urine. Often times the were forced to travel naked and sometime in the winter. So I guess living in Auschwitz was really bad.
