hypothyroidism is a single gene mutation and it was first recognized to the thyroid gland by William gull in 1874. the definition of hypothyroidism is a under active thyroid gland, which means that the gland cant make enough thyroid to keep the body running normally. people with disorder have to little thyroid in their blood. this disorder can lead to increased life span but it leads to systems which can be fatal.
