Race for Education 2020
We have the best supporters at Christ the King Catholic School! Our parents, grandparents, family, friends, alumni, and many, many more have helped raise over $41,000 for the Race for Education! Mrs. House, Mrs. Coppola, Coach C., and our PTO volunteers figured out a way to still have the race even with social-distancing measures in place. Each student raced during their PE time and had a BLAST! If you haven't made a donation yet but would still like to click here: https://ctklr.weshareonline.org/ws/opportunities/Race/donate

Guardian Angels Say Hello
Each year our 8th graders and 2nd graders pair up and enjoy spending time together. They get together for activities and pray for one another throughout the year as they prepare for Confirmation and First Communion. The Guardian Angel program, a Christ the King School tradition, continues even with social-distancing in place. Eighth grade students sent a special message to their 2nd grade angels last week.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
Our PTO volunteers figured out a way for teachers to still be able to enjoy a yummy lunch and feel special for the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon.
Teddy Bear Picnic
It was a great day for a Teddy Bear Picnic! Pre-K students played with their bears at centers, napped with the bears, sang and danced with their bears, and, of course, went on a picnic with their bears!

NEWS FROM THE BEAR DEN
Football
Our Catholic Firecracker football team continues the quest to defend their title. On Tuesday, October 1st our Firecrackers, led by our CTK Bears, took on the Dunbar Bobcats. The hungry hungry inner Bear chomped up 4 on-side kick recoveries leading to 5 touchdowns and 5 extra points beating the Bobcats 35-20. Our Firecrackers move to 3-1 and will feast on the Henderson Hawks next Tuesday. MMMMM finger-lickin' good!
It was a back and forth fight to the end but our new Catholic Fire football team, also led by several CTK bears, clawed their way to a win against the Episcopal wildcats 14-12. The only thing better than a Bobcat leg is Wildcat toe!!! MMMMMM dessert was yummy. The Catholic Fire followed up with dessert by beating the Baptist Prep Eagles this past Saturday 20-12. The next game goes down this Saturday against the PA Bruins. If we win they advance to the Championship game. GO CATHOLIC FIRE!
