Book Fair Success
We are so happy the PTA was able to put on our Book Fair in person this year. Thank you Mrs. Weinmann for all your work and a special thanks to Mr. Leckron for sharing the library space with us! It truly filled my heart to see so many of our families at school Wednesday night and walking the hallways. It feels good to have everyone in Bower!
Highlights From the Week...
This week in Bower PACE: We're reading Children of the Dust Bowl by Jerry Stanley. 1930's migration of Okie Children from Oklahoma to California. Now... It's tough times during the Great Depression...and moms/dads are making children's clothes out of flour sacks & burlap bags...we really get into our stories! -Mrs. Fustin

Halloween!
The halls are already a buzz with excitement for Halloween. We are looking forward to a more traditional Halloween at Bower compared to last year. Our plan for October 29th will be the following:
- 2:00 Students put costumes on at school
- 2:15 Outside Costume Parade
- 2:30-3:15 Class Parties
Safety Information:
- Classroom parties are coordinated by the classroom parent coordinator.
- Classroom parties are only allowed to have three parent volunteers per room. This will be organized by the parent coordinator, not the teacher.
- Classroom Parent Volunteers will sign in and be masked.
- If weather permits and the Costume Parade is outside, families are invited to spectate outside. If the weather requires us to move the parade inside, it will be a students only parade. Fingers crossed for good weather!
- Please send your child to school with a costume that they are able to put on, on their own. Our lunches go from 11:30-2:00, so all students will be putting costumes on at 2:00. Please make sure your child is able to dress in their costume on their own.
We are so happy and excited to have a more traditional Halloween. And I am very excited about my costume. And if you've seen the car rider line, you'll get the joke. :-)

There are two upcoming district events where we would love your participation. The first is the Community Engagement event where we will be discussing the vision we have for our students throughout their K-12 experience. (And the sweet girl on the far left in the picture is my daughter. :-)
The second event is a guest speaker on November 3rd at Hubble. We hope you consider attending these events!
