Top Three Best Marketed Companies 2015
Urban Outfitters
Urban Outfitters was a top marketed brand in 2015, and many years before, because they used marketing techniques that manipulated teenage girls and their wallets. Our generation is obsessed with looking like they bought their outfit from a cool thrift store, or a hipster, independent business. We like the bohemian, grungy, hipster look. Urban jumped on this trend, which was genius, because now they are able to make cheap, time efficient clothing, and overprice it, and people will still buy it.
Free People
Free People did something similar to Urban, but even more. Free People is, in my opinion, the best marketed store that currently exists. Their marketing choices are so good, that they can get away with crazy overpricing, and people still buy tons of their clothes. There is such a vibe that is created in Free People, and by the marketers. Everything ties into the vibe, right down to the hangers that hold the clothes. This creates more of a desire to buy the clothes, and to bring home and wear those vibes.
Brandy Melville
Brandy Melville is also very similar to the brands above. The difference is, Brandy is tied to California, or the "Cali lifestyle." Brandy was so well marketed that withing weeks, almost every girl in the nation either wanted or was wearing Brandy clothes. There is currently such an obsession with Brandy, that it gives Brandy freedom to overprice, which they took advantage of
Worst Products of 2015
Beats by dr. Dre
Beats are a line of high-tech noise canceling headphones, produced by the rapper Dr. Dre. After Beats were created, a variety of celebrities were shown wearing Beats, including Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Beats became not only a useful tool, but also a high fashion accessory. The catch is though, that there're many other headphones out that are much less expensive and much better quality then these headphones, but still people are attracted to the cool look and affiliation. Hoverboard
Hover board's have little to no function, and the only reason people buy them is because celebrities have been shown using them, and they are expensive, so it seems like a high class product. It's fun, but that's it.
Two Best Products of 2015
iPhone 6 plus
The iPhone 6 plus has many great features, but the greatest one is the screen and the size. The display is 5.5 inches, which is similar to the size of other competitors (the Nokia 1520 is 6 inches) plus the phone comes in many different colors.
Go-Pro
A go-pro is a tiny camera that you can clip onto your clothing. It's waterproof, dirtproof, pretty much lifeproof, and is made so you can video your craziest adventures.
Two Best Movies of 2016
Inside Out
Inside out is a family friendly Disney movies that takes on a perspective of a person that has never been shown. The movie stars a girl named Riley, and her brain. Each of her feelings are a different character, and it shows what her emotions go through the year she turns twelve and moves to a whole new place. I thought this movie was genius. It's the best movie I've ever seen that appeals so much to both adults and kids. The lessons learned throughout the movie, in terms of dealing with your emotions, are life lessons that are really about becoming an adult. The only negative thing I have to say is that it wasn't very well marketed. I didn't even have a sense of what the movie was about until I saw it.
Star Wars
Star Wars was very well marketed. Already people were excited to see the movie, since Star Wars has one of the biggest fandoms in the world. But also, Star Wars and many other products collaborated and marketed their products together, so there were lots of commercials about Star Wars that advertised a car, or other products like that.
Best Artists of 2015
Adele
Adele had been off the grid for a couple years, while she had a child. She made her comeback though, very suddenly. In just a day or two after it came out, Hello her new hit song, became number one on the charts, and sung by almost everyone on the planet. It went absolutely viral.

Justin Bieber
This year, Justin Bieber made one of the most incredible musical comebacks and transtition ever seen. Justin was discovered over YouTube when he was very young, and the fame was hard on him, causing him to act out. His music was very teen pop, and he was not liked by many. This year though, Justin came out with a new album, and first with "What Do You Mean?", his song with Skrillex, and followed by hit after hit. He broke records that previously were held by the Beatles.
