In Case You Missed It:
Robert Newby went for the TOY interview today. He has lots of excellent company in this competition. We all believe Robert is tops in our hearts and minds. The reception and announcement of LCS TOY will be May 7.
Shout out goes to Will Trombley for stepping up and taking over our Robotics Team last month and preparing them for the district competition on Monday. Our kids had a wonderful time and experience at the Civic Center.
Shannon Willaert is preparing for her new addition and was showered with gifts on Tuesday afternoon. Marty Satterwhite will fill in for Shannon when she goes on maternity leave beginning May 4 (as long as baby Willaert goes along with mom's plan).
Shane Long, Josh Schneider, Liana Velte, Kim Stuart, Anne Knuth, Natalie Warren, and I visited Southwest Middle School, an AVID Demonstration School in Jacksonville, NC. It was helpful to see what we are aiming for our school. We walked away with many pictures, a clearer picture of our vision, and satisfaction that we are definitely on the right path for our Stallions. SLMS site team will be meeting on Monday after school in Shane's room. If you want to hear more and help us plan for our next steps, please join us.
Achieve3000 Dance Parties went well today. Thank you to all that dropped by to see the kids and, also, those that joined in on the dancing.
Our Cafeteria Team joined 7th graders on the dance floor!
6th grade had the largest AND most enthusiastic group.
Kisha was enjoying Copperhead Road with 8th graders.
