- Are there any parents willing to donate the mini water bottles for buddy day and for our field trip (total of 48) pretty please? If so, please email me and let me know!

May 20-Class Field Trip to the Children's Museum
- Students will wear either their field trip t-shirt or other Wilder t-shirt/school dress code
- Students will need to pack a sack lunch that is can be thrown away when finished. Plastic zip lock bags work best as they will be put in a cooler with ice.
May 29- End of the Year Party (more details to come later)
June 1- Awards and Talent Show
June 3- Last Day Already!! (Early Dismissal)
**Please make sure your child comes prepared for school every day. This means that they have a signed blue folder brought to school with them every day. They also need to make sure that they bring their BOX to school with them with all of their supplies (glue, scissors, pencils, crayons, dry erase marker)! Students will start receiving color changes for coming unprepared for class. We have had several days when we refill boxes. My homeroom is also low on glue sticks so if you are able to buy 1 or 2 extra for your student, we would appreciate it!
MATH
Last week and this week we are reviewing numbers to 120 which includes place value, comparing numbers and expanded form. We also began reviewing addition and subtraction up to 20. We learned about fact families and related addition/subtraction. They also practiced their problem solving strategies (IPAC).
SCIENCE
Students have observing plant parts and their functions. This week we planted sunflower seeds and are recording their growth. We are also planted lima beans and are charting their life cycle each day. Students dissected a lima bean that was soaked in water to see the seed coat, food storage and baby plant! Next week, we will continue to observe our plants grow and also start our unit on animals.
SOCIAL STUDIES
This week we will begin learning about the different land forms. Students will be creating a different land form booklet with the definitions of the land forms. Check out the following video to help you learn more!
We also watched the Lorax for Earth Day and made a fun craft that explains how we can be good citizens and help our Earth!
