E.O. Green Hornet Hive Updates
Green JHS Weekly Bulletin for October 4th, 2021
Principal's Message
Hello E.O. Green Community,
Congratulations, your student completed the first full month of in-person instruction successfully. Monday, October 4th, we will start administering the Panorama Student Survey, through October 8th. Please ensure your student is present at school daily and on time to avoid missing instruction and this important survey.
Student academic progress grade-mark notices will go home with your student this Friday, October 8, 2021. Please take time to review the grades your students earned. You can also log into Parent Connect or ask your student to sign into Student Connect for you to view grades. This is the time to have a conversation and establish academic achievement goals for your student. Reward your student achievements. Your child’s final trimester grades will be recorded and shared with you on November 19th. Your child has time between October 8th and November 19th to work hard to improve their grades. They must complete all class assignments, pass quizzes and tests, read assigned books and turn in projects.
Parents and students, please remember that grades earn a grade point average. All students are expected to earn a minimum of 2.0 GPA. Be aware that low academic standing, poor behavior or poor attendance impedes students from participating in the school promotion celebration.
Unfortunately, the parents of students that struggle to follow the students' expectations receive a call or email from the teacher, counselor, assistant principal or principal. This order of communication is part of our progressive discipline steps. Thank you for supporting the success of your student by talking to them about following rules and doing their best in order to be successful and thrive. Your student has the capacity and we at GREEN are here to support you and your student. It is important to work together to ensure your student is empowered to achieve high.
Please be aware that HVAC construction will be taking place on our campus throughout the 2021-22 school year. All safety precautions will be implemented.
Please let us know if you have any questions. We’re here for you.
