Montessori Program Welcomes New Students
Sneed Middle School 4-H Member Named Regional Winner of the Honey Bee Project
William Howard, an 8th grade student at Sneed Middle School and a member of the Sneed Squire Squad 4-H Club, was named the Pee Dee Region Winner of the 2018 South Carolina 4-H Honey Bee Project. The Honey Bee Project, one component of the South Carolina 4-H Pollinator Program, is an independent-study project that engages youth in the active role of beekeeping, learning the basics of entomology, and gaining an appreciation for the role of pollinators in our world.
Spotlight on Academic Teams: Week 1, South Florence High
This Week features the South Florence High School Academic Team. Team coaches are Joel Bibler, Heather Gaston, and Jon Gaston. Team captain is Judah Gray. The team carries a record of 1 and 0.
"We are very excited to compete in this Academic Challenge season, and we are happy to have six team members returning this season," said Jon Gaston. "We welcome two new team members, and we are confident they will make valuable contributions to our performance this year. Heather Gaston is a new coach for us this year and we are grateful for the knowledge and experience she brings to the team."
Upcoming weekly matches include Lake View, @Cheraw, @Scott's Branch, Wilson and Hemingway.
