Board Approves Mask & Quarantine Policy Changes
The Argyle ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to update the district's mask and quarantine policies during the Monday, April 19 Regular Board Meeting.
Trustees voted to amend the district’s COVID-19 protocols making masks optional for all students and employees effective Monday, May 10. Masks will be optional inside all facilities and while riding in school buses for the remainder of the school year.
Trustees also approved making quarantines the responsibility of parents beginning May 10. The current protocols and guidelines for “close contacts” and quarantines will remain in place until this date. The May 10 date is when all employees who had the two doses at the Argyle ISD COVID-19 vaccine clinic will be fully vaccinated.
Early Voting Open Through April 27
The Board of Trustees Election is May 1. Early voting is open through Tuesday, April 27. Two Places on the School Board are up for election.
In Place 4, the ballot includes incumbent Ritchie Deffenbaugh and Phyllis Clark. Place 5 incumbent Dr. Leona McDade is running unopposed on the ballot. The video below is a virtual candidate forum for Place 4. The guest moderator is Argyle High School's Billy Mykel.

AHS COLORGUARD AUDITIONS APRIL 26-29
Eagle Wrestlers Battle at UIL Championships Friday
Davee (170-pound class) and Ernest (182) will have their first matches in the 5A competition on Friday morning at the Berry Center (brackets are below). Davee was the Region I champion and Ernest finished third. The matches begin at 9 a.m. and the championship matches begin at 5:45 p.m.

Lady Eagle Golf State Bound!
The team of Madelyn Diomede, Katie Garner, Claire Jensen, Madison Wert and Lauren Justice will advance to compete at the Class 4A State Tournament on May 10-11 at Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle. The top two golfers at the regional were Diomede (79-79) and Garner (81-77).

Argyle ISD District Level Eagle Partners, Dave and Kathy Salisbury with the Real Estate Station in Argyle presented gift baskets to all of the nurses and nurse aides/assistants in Argyle ISD on Thursday.
