South Carolina
We are rich! Thanks to the labor of slaves!
Carolina was the first colony that introduced slavery at the outset.
I first arrived at Charles Town in 1670. I loved the semitropical climate, wonderfully fertile soil, and an amazing growing season of u to 295 days a year! The Indians tried to compete in trade with us, but we were successful in achieving dominance. Our banks had perfected the mechanisms of credit, which financed a fur trade in the forests half a world away. Without our Indian slaves we would not be as successful as we are.
