Oregon SHAPE Workshop ReCap
We would like to thank Adam Howell for starting the day off with an inspiring keynote, and Greg Lukshaitis for his amazing adapted PE session!
See below for more details from the workshop.
The day started off with an awesome keynote from Adam Howell on Teacher Leadership from the beginning. | Professor Joel Schuldeisz gave an awesome tour of the physiology equipment at Concordia University. | Oregon's own SHAPE America APE Teacher of the Year, Greg Lukshaitis led an awesome adapted active session for workshop attendees. |
We ended the day with a Demo Slam. The purpose of a Demo Slam is to share best practices and innovative ideas. This professional development model has been used at numerous technology conferences all over the world. Each person who demonstrated an idea had two minutes to share a physical education strategy, lesson, or use of technology. The Tweet above is an example of a lesson idea shared by Adam Howell during the demo slam. | Another great idea from the demo slam that Cheryl Wardell shared. | We had a lot of positive feedback from the workshop! |
