White Plains High School
October 2020 Newsletter
From the Principal
Dear Tiger Families,
One of the traditional first events that every school holds every year is an Open House. These nights are filled with excitement for families and teachers as we embark on a new year of developing partnerships and relationships so that we can support a student's success. This year our Open House will be held virtually in light of the COVID-19 Restrictions. There are no on-site open house sessions this year. We will be sharing with families pre-recorded videos, in an effort to still provide parents with a safe and yet informative way of introducing them to their child's teachers and courses.
The evening will start with a welcome message on our home page from the School Administration, Counseling Department, and Student Support Services. Teacher presentations will be available at 6PM on Thursday, October 8, 2020 on each teacher's Schoology page. Parents are asked to log in with their child's Schoology password to view the videos for all of their classes.
We want to thank you for your continued support and understanding as we continue to develop new ways to provide families with the information they need to support their child's success in the 2020-2021 school year.
Respectfully,
Emerly A. Martinez
Principal
