Pinwheel Project
In the next few weeks, we would like families to work together to create a pinwheel to honor veterans. Students will bring in their completed pinwheels to school by November 7th and their teacher will send their pinwheel to the office to be planted on the hillside for decoration during our Veteran’s Day Parade. This project is meant to unify our school and reinforce the 5 C’s of STEAM, these include Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Caring.
We have listed resources below, but encourage you to be creative in finding ways to create your pinwheel and to honor veterans. You can choose to honor a family member or symbolize what Veteran’s Day means to you.
Please keep in mind these pinwheels are considered a donation to our Veterans Day Parade. We look forward to celebrating and honoring our veterans with you during our parade on Friday, November 9th.
