An Old One, but a Good One
Learning Walk
We hope that you have all set up your first set of learning walks. Please use the form below to record your learning walk. It is the expectation that each certified staff member completes 9 learning walks throughout the school year. You first learning walk needs to be complete by October 6th. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you to all of the teachers here at Hillcrest who have already welcomed others into their classrooms during these learning walks. We have an amazing team here at Hillcrest and we continue to learn from one another every day!
Spirit Week
Make plans with your Pirate now to enjoy Spirit Week for Homecoming, which comes to #PirateNation the first week of October!
Monday, October 2: America Day
Tuesday, October 3: Tie Dye Tuesday
Wednesday, October 4: Western Day
Thursday, October 5: Tropical Tourist Day
Friday, October 6: There's No Place Like Home -- BELTON...purple & gold, of course! #Proud2BPiratesConference Hours
Wednesday, October 25th:
8:00-8:45
4:45-8:00
Thursday, October 26th:
8:00-7:00
Some of you may want to go ahead and start getting out information to your parents to sign up for conferences. You can send this out electronically if you wish, or use a paper form. As you can see, you will need to have conference times from 8:00-8:45 as well as 4:45-8:00 on Wednesday. This allows for families who need early times to have a couple of options. During conferences, all staff members a total of 15 hours giving us Friday off.
*Please work with Special Education and ESL teachers to coordinate scheduling.
* When you have your schedule ready, please send it to Linda and Heather.
TAT
There has been some confusion in regard to the TAT process. Please see the attached form for the TAT process. We will also be working with Mrs. Hoots this year to ensure a systematic approach for TAT is being used across the district.
Professional Development - October 9
Please remember the hours for October 9th are 8-4. Please come prepared to learn with your laptop fully charged. All staff should report to the library at 8.
Snacks
If your students have snack in the classroom, please remember these need to be eaten at table spots and not on the carpet. Some of the snacks are difficult for custodial staff to get out of the carpets.
