Setting up Services & Accessing Benefits With Our New EAP (Employee Assistance Program) ComPsych
Employee Benefits would like to offer additional tips for how to access our new EAP (Employee Assistance Program) with ComPsych. Your benefit includes up to 10 free sessions with a counselor per issue and per member of your household. Providers at ComPsych can help you with a variety of issues including but not limited to stress management, grief, marital problems, and anxiety.
To get a self-referral started:
Call our dedicated phone line, just for USD 259 Staff, at (866)517-1254 to begin your self-care journey. TTY line is available at (800)697-0353.
This line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you are more comfortable requesting a call back from a provider, you can use the instructions below to set up an account. Once in the website, you can hover over "Access" and click on the My Program slide-out which will allow you to ask for a call from a ComPsych consultant.
To access ComPsych's other benefits:
Go to www.guidanceresources.com.
This will take you to a main page where you will log in during future site visits; however, the first time you visit the site, you will want to register yourself as a new user. You will choose a user ID and password and set up security questions. When prompted, you will enter usd259 as your company ID.
By registering at Guidance Resources, you will have access to a huge volume of information that will help you including guided self-care, recipes, articles, webinars and tutorials, and everyday help with things not expected from the EAP.
Work/Life Balance
Work/Life Balance is such a popular phrase these days, but no matter how overused, it is important to balance these two things to have a healthy you. Failure to balance either side can lead to burnout for you and those around you.
With the start of the school year upon us, it is a good time to get refreshed on how we can stay balanced with the challenges of a new year.
Consider these steps from our new EAP (Employee Assistance Program), ComPsych.

Get Your Wellness Visits in Before August 31st for 2022 Wellness Credit
If you participate in the district's health plan, you are offered a premium discount that amounts to $1200 annually if you achieve 100 wellness points during the given time frame. This is also true for spouses on the plan.
Beginning on September 1, 2020, we began working on wellness points that will apply for the 2022 calendar year premium discount. Points accumulated between September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021 will count toward the discount for the 2022 benefit year.
As a reminder, here is the wellness credits matrix showing each item and how any points would apply. Please remember that non-smoking points will not show up until you go to enroll this fall, so if you know you are a non-smoker, you can count on those points to be added for you at that time.
