TCCA! Raymond used TECH like a PIRATE!

This weekend, fifteen members of the Raymond family participated in the 4th annual Technology Conference here in Aldine. It was located at Davis High School Over 1,500 people were in attendance from all over the state of Texas. The conference was FREE and each person walked away with something different! Everyone learned a wealth of Technology applications that they will be able to apply in their classrooms from day ONE!

For those of you who were unable to attend...no worries, we are working on a MINI TCCR (Technology & Curriculum Conference of Raymond) to share a small glimpse of what we ALL learned soon!

Technology Lab Updates for ALL Teachers

Starting this week, all students will be provided with math and reading interventions using iStation whenever they come to the computer lab. Please send your students to the lab with their lunch number(student ID) card (Kinder and 1st grade are required to bring theirs) if you know they don't know their numbers. Also, if you would like to reserve the lab for Instructional times, please complete the request form below.

About Integrating your lessons: If you know your students are coming to the lab during rotation and you would like them to work on what you are working on in the classroom, send Mrs. Glass an email (48 hours in advance to them coming into the lab please) with the content area and/or TEK. This will allow for your students to use various programs to help bridge learning from your classroom to the tech lab. Remember: We are here to make your life easier!

Some suggested programs your students could use: (these are district suggested and provided programs)

  • Think Through Math (for 3rd and 4th graders only)
  • BrainPOP, BrainPOP Jr. (all grades)
  • Fast Math (all grades)

Do you have any additional programs you would like to see added to this list? Please speak to Mrs. Glass or schedule a time to discuss more options!
