Allison Eilers - Triad Math and Science Academy - Elementary School Dean
Allison Eilers grew up in a small town in upstate New York. She has had a passion for education and for helping others since she can remember. Her career in education began at an early age, and she has worked with children in different capacities throughout her life. Ms. Eilers has worked at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree from Mercy College, she went on to pursue her Master’s Degree in Literacy from Long Island University. From there, she taught Reading for several years before moving to North Carolina where she became a classroom teacher. She enjoyed her years as a second and third grade teacher, and then transitioned to the high school level where she served as Assistant Principal. She received her administration certification from Wingate University. Ms. Eilers’ decision to become an administrator came from a strong desire to make a positive impact on an entire school community. As the 3-5 Elementary Dean, she looks forward to working diligently with faculty and staff to carry out the vision and mission of Triad Math and Science Academy. It is her belief that, as a school, we play a fundamental role in positioning students for future success. Ms. Eilers is committed to working closely with teachers, parents, and community members to ensure children achieve their full potential and are prepared for their next phase of their education.
Masaru Harris - Triad Math and Science Academy - Middle School - Dean of Student Culture
Mr. Harris founded Harris Health & Wellness, a youth fitness organization, in 2011, during his junior year of college. Mr. Harris’ passion for educating others on the importance of establishing physical and emotional wellness has culminated with him earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Science and Fitness Management and a Master of Arts in Teaching, both from North Carolina A&T State University.
Prior to establishing his own organization, Mr. Harris began teaching in an alternative school geared towards children living with emotional and behavioral issues. This is where he first learned that success for students begins with stability in the home, which includes the support of parents in the student's overall physical, social, and emotional wellbeing.
Marcus Van Hagen -Triad Math and Science Academy - High School - Dean of Student Culture
Mr. Van Hagen has been a dedicated member of the TMSA family for 9 years. He began his career as a Math teacher, and over the past two years, served as Discipline Coordinator for the Middle School. He has also served as an athletic coach for several teams.
“Although I will miss my students in Middle School, I am very excited for the challenges that will come at the next level,” Mr. Hagen said. He has been a driving force in pushing for school pride, and is looking forward to enhancing the culture at TMSA.
Mr. Van Hagen earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from North Carolina A&T State University, and is currently working on his Master’s degree in School Administration.
Christine Lanham -Triangle Math and Science Academy - Elementary School - Dean of Students
Ms. Christine Lanham has been with TMSA for the past seven years. She is a 1990 graduate from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where she majored in elementary education and reading. She has over 22 years of experience in the field of education, and taught all grades K-9 in private, public, and charter schools. She taught elementary and middle school ELA for the first three years at TMSA, and has been the middle school dean for the past four years. She has two adult children and three grandchildren, ages 1, 4, and 11. She believes there are few things in this world more important than our families. As the incoming K-5 Dean of Students, she will do everything she can to make sure your children’s elementary school years are filled with happy, positive, and successful experiences.
Stephanie Warcup -Triangle Math and Science Academy - Elementary School - Dean of Academics
Stephanie Warcup is a Rhode Island native with over 20 years experience in education. She obtained her Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education and then completed her Master of Science Degree in Literacy. Her family relocated to North Carolina nine years ago and for the last 5 years she has served the students at Triangle Math and Science Academy as a teacher, Reading and Academic Coordinator, and now as Elementary School Dean of Academics. In addition, Stephanie has focused her professional career on improving student outcomes through using evidence-based programming and building relationships with students and families. The most rewarding part of her career is seeing students grow in their passion for learning about the world around them!
Brittany Sandora -Triangle Math and Science Academy - Middle School - Dean of Academics
Mrs. Sandora is entering her 14th year in education. Originally from Southern New Jersey, she spent almost eleven years in her hometown school district in Franklinville, NJ. In addition to teaching responsibilities, she worked on leadership committees, worte curriculum and assessments, and provided professional development to staff. After relocating to Cary in the Spring of 2018, Mrs. Sandora worked at Triangle Math and Science as a classroom teacher. She then moved on to the role of Elementary Dean at Neuse Charter School in Johnston County, working with staff to build a vision of growing our academic practices and school culture to foster a vision of strong achievement for all students. She is excited to serve in the role of Middle School Academic Dean here at Triangle Math and Science Academy.
Timothy Scranton -Triangle Math and Science Academy - Secondary School - Dean of Student Culture
Mr. Timothy Scranton is in his 3rd year at Triangle Math and Science Academy and his 12th year in education, although he has tutored students for over 30 years. He earned degrees in Middle Grades Mathematics Education from NC State and Mechanical Engineering from Wake Tech. He is also a graduate of the NC School of Science and Mathematics. Prior to joining the team at TMSA, he worked in the Wake County school system where he was a math department co-chair and West Lake Teacher of the Year in 2018. He loves spending time with his wife enjoying outdoor activities. He has a son who recently graduated from Athens Drive HS and will be attending UNC in the fall. He is excited to be working with our amazing students in his new role, and he looks forward to building positive relationships with all of our students and families.
Ashley Beatty - Queen City STEM School - Elementary Dean
Ms. Ashley Beatty is incredibly excited to be a part of Queen City STEM School. She is from Concord, N.C, and currently lives in Charlotte. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she completed her undergraduate, her Master of Arts in Teaching, and her Master's add-on in School administration. (Go Niners!)

She believes that this quote speaks to the fact that our daily investment and approach to education goes so much further than the walls of our building. “When we invest in education, we invest in the future,” says Ms Beatty, adding “I find joy in this work because I am able to support educators and families in molding students academically, emotionally, and socially on their journey to reach their highest potential.” Ms. Beatty is thankful for this opportunity to serve as Dean of Kindergarten through second grade and looks forward to this school year!
Kristal Favreau - Central Office - Student Services Director
Mrs. Favreau is a dedicated educator and a champion of student success. Her career began in Massachusetts, where she taught High School English. Five years ago, she joined the TMSA family as an English teacher at Triangle Math and Science Academy. Since then, she has served TMSA as a teacher, college counselor, and academic coordinator.
Mrs. Favreau holds a Bachelor of Science in English and a Master of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education from Northeastern University. She has also earned her College Access Counseling Certification from Rice University, as well as a Post-Master's Certificate in School Administration from UNC Greensboro.
Mrs. Favreau's passion is for student services. She has been a dedicated advisor to many student organizations throughout the years. Her greatest joy is working alongside young student leaders as they achieve their academic and extracurricular goals. Mrs. Favreau is excited to join the TMSA Public Charter Schools' central office this year and to have the opportunity to serve more students across our schools.
Shamela Harrison - Central Office - District Exceptional Children's Coordinator
Entering her 12th year in Special Education, Mrs. Harrison exhibits a strong passion for students with disabilities, believing that all students can learn regardless of their disability. "Exceptional Children requires educators who believe in them and understand their unique learning needs."
Mrs. Harrison earned her Bachelors and Master’s degree from Winston-Salem State University and began her career in Special Education with the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools as an EC Teacher. Mrs. Harrison has worked in the elementary, middle and high school setting; co-teaching, and small group instruction.
Mrs. Harrison is empowered with a desire to maximize her impact on students and the staff. Therefore, Mrs. Harrison is pursuing a path of a Doctorate in Educational Administration, focusing on practices that most greatly influenced student achievement and developed instructional leadership skills to better serve the students and staff at TMSA.
Mrs. Harrison exemplifies positive, professional leadership that makes a difference in the lives of the students and the staff. She has led the implementation for new programs, and best practices for educating students with disabilities.
Mrs. Harrison is excited to continue her next adventure in education at TMSA and looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth and achievement for every student.
Erin Joyce - Central Office - District Project Coordinator
Erin Joyce has been with Triad Math and Science Academy since 2015. Her career began as a math teacher, but for the past two years she has served as the Federal Programs Coordinator. She coached the Tigers as the head varsity volleyball coach for the past three years.
Mrs. Joyce is a proud graduate of East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and minor in Mathematics. She also holds a Secondary Education teaching license with a focus in mathematics.
In Mrs. Joyce’s spare time she enjoys traveling with her husband, Ethan, and family. She loves spending time outside with her two fur-children, Colt and Gage, and reading a good book. She is excited to join the Central Office
team and looks forward to helping make TMSA a great place to learn!
