Dear Poupard Leaders,

Dear Homeroom Teachers,
Please take a moment with your teaching partner(s) this week to review this GP Writing Powerpoint created by Kari Mannino that outlines procedures for GP Writing, grading of writing samples and an opportunity to ask questions.

Election Day PD - Email
Just a reminder, we will be partnering up with Mason Elementary for our Election Day PD. We will promptly start our PD by 8:30 inside the Mason gym. We believe this will be a great way for each staff to begin creating community with one another and give the Poupard staff an opportunity to visit where some of their students will be attending next year.
Poupard Staff should bring the following:
- Work iPad. There will be chromebooks available for our use as well.
- Fall F&P Assessments
Instructional Rounds
Thank you to all the teachers that have so generously opened up your classrooms for others to visit and learn during instructional rounds. In my eyes, I believe that Instructional rounds provides some of the best professional development around. Most people leave with one or two new things they would like to try in their classrooms immediately.

Class Newsletters
Please share your weekly newsletters with me by "Ccing" me when they are emailed out to families. This allows for me to stay connected with all of the exciting things happening inside of your classrooms.
GES3
Our GES3 meeting dates and deadlines have been established by the team. You can access that information below. It will also be made available on our Poupard Schoology page.
GES3 Dates and Information Page
Walkie Talkie
All Classroom Teachers should have received a Walkie Talkie. Please take it with you when you take your students outside for an extra recess. The office staff will use it to locate individual students, typically for early dismissal.Emergency Information
Please be sure to review all of the emergency information for fire drills and tornado drills inside of your classrooms. We will be doing a sweep to make sure your emergency bags are stocked with everything that necessary and include updated rosters as they become available.
Behavior Referrals
Behavior Referrals must be completed using the Online Behavior Form. Staff must complete the behavior form anytime a student is sent down to the office for a major office referral. Homeroom Teachers and Special Area Teachers are responsible for contacting the family to notify them of any incidents that occurred inside of the classroom. Please call home over an email whenever possible. Personally, I'd recommend sharing anything over 3-4 sentences over a phone call as well.
