Big picture

Title 1 Parent Engagement

Several Title 1 events taking place this week and I look forward to seeing you there! On Monday, at 8:30 am, I will host our Parent Advisory Council Meeting along with RES. We will go over fall surveys, approve School-Parent Compacts, and review the Title 1 Budget.

On Tuesday and Thursday evening, we will host Orientation along with our first FAST (Family And School Team) meeting. Parents will enter through the gym for the FAST meeting, learning about your child's assessments, how to read the results, and how to help them at home. Once dismissed to the classroom, you will learn about the grade level curriculum, classroom procedures, upcoming events, and sign the School-Parent Compact. This will be a meeting full of information, so you will be offered a chance to sign up for a parent/teacher conference if you wish to speak with your child's teacher more in depth.

I always look forward to seeing you in the parent room! For more info, you can message me on Dojo, or email me at twilson.rps@catoosa.k12.ga.us.
