Dear Area 31 Entrepreneurs and Friends,

As we approach the summer break, Area 31 isn't slowing down! Next Tuesday, we're hosting the final presentations of IE's GXMBA program. On Wednesday, in the morning, don't miss the open workshop on User Experience by UX expert, Sara López. Also on Wednesday, IE's Campus Life celebrates the photography project that is bringing the IE community together: Inside Out. Finally, the teams in IE's Incubator in Area 31 will have the last get together prior to the break.

Also our opportunities section is full. Are you a female entrepreneur? You stand to win USD 100,000 at the Cartier Women's Initiative. Are you interested in starting up in Spain as a foreigner? ICEX has a soft landing program for you including Visa, funding and more.

User Experience: fuel for start ups

Date: July 19th

Time: 12:00-13:30

Location: The Garden

In a digital world good ideas can fail with a bad user experience. So, what is UX and why do I need to bother with it n my start-up? When and how do I have to take it into account? etc. We’ll explain all of this questions and other key elements in the workshop. Register here.

Inside Out Project

Date: July 19th

The Inside Out Project has made it to IE, now join us to see how it began, the behind the scenes of the photoshoot with Photographer & IE Professor Brian Hallett and the final outcome on the facade of María de Molina 31! You will also have a chance to leave your message to the new upcoming class! This is the last get together before the summer break for startups in IE's Incubator in Area 31. These gatherings are opportunities to network and share opportunities with each other for entrepreneurs hosted in Area 31.


Rising Startup Spain

Deadline: July 31st

Program for foreign entrepreneurs to establish their Startups in Spain

Rising STARTUP Spain is a program aimed at foreign startups and entrepreneurs with scalable and innovative projects. 15 Winning projects will receive the following benefits:

  • Visa: Easier access to Visa and Residence permits
  • Funding: Prize money of €10,000 to cover initial Startup expenses

Cartier Women's Initiative Awards

The Cartier Women's Initiative Awards are an international business plan competition created in 2006 to identify, support and encourage projects by women entrepreneurs.

  • First prize for the 6 laureates: US$ 100 000 in prize money & One-to-one personalized business mentoring
  • Second prize for the 12 finalists: US$ 30 000 in prize money
