Message From Mrs. Wawrzyniak

Hello Arcadia Community,

At Arcadia we believe in creating a safe environment where we are able to focus on social-emotional learning competencies, academic skills, and positive mindsets through which students, staff, and parents can develop stronger self and relationship management skills. Our hope is that overtime that we can create and promote more positive social behaviors and relationships with peers and adults.

As a result we will be shifting to put a greater focus on engaged citizenship.

  • We are struggling with using cellphones appropriately and in appropriate areas.
  • We are struggling with students demonstrating respectful, responsible behaviors in hallways, cafeteria, and on social media.
  • We are struggling with kindness and civility towards people that are unfamiliar but apart of the Arcadia Community.

The Arcadia Administration and Staff will be implementing a combination of safety precautions throughout the month of December to help monitor and adjust procedures and protocols that specially target the above bullets. We will also be implementing positive recognition systems to help promote and recognize the amazing things that are occurring on a daily basis. We have great students that are achieving and growing in positive ways and they deserve to be recognized!

  • Weekly submissions of student names by staff who demonstrate being

  2. a respectful COMMUNICATOR,
  4. a critical/creative/reflective THINKER,
  5. an impactful CITIZEN OR
  6. demonstrates positive change through SELF-DIRECTION.

Each student nominated will receive a certificate and be showcased in the hallway for one week. At the end of each month all submission will be reviewed and the top 2 students who have made a significant, positive impact, will have the opportunity to select a few friends to eat a catered lunch with administration to discuss how to continue to positively impact Arcadia.

  • We will be removing all "community" passes from the classrooms - (wooden blocks)
  • Students will be expected to have a pass that is designated with a time, date, and location.
  • Staff will be asking to view passes regularly in the halls. Respectful responses are much appreciated!
  • Bathrooms will be closely monitored, equipment updated for cleanliness, cleaned each period, and aesthetics updated to create a space where students feel comfortable using the facilities.

We are hoping to have a balanced approach to target the negative behaviors then highlight and grow the positive behaviors. We believe that student leaders can make the most significant impact. Please discuss this with your students and how to step in and step up to make a positive impact!

With sincere thanks,

Christina Wawrzyniak

Impact of Social Media - We need your support!

Dear Greece Families,

We recently provided all students in grades 6 through 12 three common lessons on the topics of social media, digital drama, and how to face digital dilemmas over the last three weeks. To support your conversations at home about the impact social media has on our lives, we are providing you details about these lessons along with family extension activities.

To access this information, please visit or scan the QR code below.

We encourage you to look at this information and discuss these topics with your children.

We appreciate your ongoing support to build a safe and positive environment for our students. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to your building principal, Mrs. Christina Wawrzyniak by text to 585.420.8633 by call at 585.966.3000 or by email at

Thank you Titan Community

Special thanks for the adults that help coordinate, collect, pack, and deliver all of the donations. BIG THANKS to all of the students and staff that contributed to the donations. Arcadia High ALONE contributed over 600 items. Much love and positivity sent to those who will be accepting theese donations on behalf of the Titan Community!

Happy National Parent Engagement Month! Our jobs are easier because you are part of the team and are an engaged parent or guardian. Parental engagement is vital to the success of our students. When parents participate in their children’s education, students are more involved, motivated, and eager to learn. I believe wholeheartedly that our students will succeed when schools and families work together in true partnership and open conversation to pursue the same goals. Please take the time to consider attending our first Parents As Partners Meeting on December 2, 2021, at 6:30 pm. Your role is more critical than ever, and nothing we do could be accomplished without you.

With gratitude,

Tiffany Seals

School Related Professionals Day

SRP Recognition Day is Nov. 16, 2021, in New York state. It is a well-deserved honor for the hard-working women and men who help educate, feed and transport students, monitor their health, administer school offices and maintain school facilities — providing a safe and nurturing environment for student-centered learning. We honor the superheroes of our schools — our SRPs as we continue to battle a worldwide pandemic. SRPs Rock!

Unless Mr. Walker's environmental lawyer said the conditions were safe, NASA couldn't launch the shuttle.

Message from your Principal:

Month of gratitude & thanks!

Hello Arcadia Titan Community,

This month we will be working on what respect means and how we can show respect through gratitude and thanks. Our hope is that with gratitude and thanks we can promote and embrace positivity, rewire our brains to eliminate stress, heal, improve sleep, boost self-esteem and performance, improve relationships between all stake holders, and model what we want to see in the world.

Did you know that giving and receiving GRATITUDE makes you at least 25% happier?

I am grateful for our students, staff, parents, guardians, and community, We Are Titans!
