Beginning in 1952 the Cuban revolution when S.F Batista seized power without election becoming a dictator. In 1951, Fidel Castro and his brother Raul Castro plotted to overthrow Batista and turn Cuba back to a democracy. On July 26th 1953 Fidel Castro and 138 men attacked a barracks to take weapons and supplies. The attack was chaotic. Many of Fidel's men were captured and killed. On may of 1955, the government releases Fidel and Raul sending them to Mexico. In Mexico Fidel and Raul then plotted a plan along with Cuban exiles. November 1956, 82 men went on a tiny yacht and sailed to Cuba. When they landed in Cuba, Castro has been doing guerrilla war against the military. The movement gained much support. On 1959, president Batista was assassinated soon on ending the war with rebel victory. After the revolution, Fidel Castro assumed control of government and military becoming dictator.
