Charger Check-In
February 15, 2024
A Note from Ms. Owens
This week, we marked the arrival of Lent. On Tuesday morning, we gathered outside with Fr. Dennis as he burned the old palms from last year. In the days preceding Wednesday, many of our students decorated beautiful Alleluia sheets to be buried for the duration of Lent. Our preschool students paraded their Alleluias throughout the school! The Alleluias will be unburied, or resurrected, at Easter. On Wednesday morning, we had a lovely Ash Wednesday prayer service led by our 7th graders. Tomorrow, Friday, our faculty will put our faith into action as we work at Feed My Starving Children as part of our retreat.
The first Early Bird Drawing for the annual Dream Raffle is set for Friday, February 16 at the Fish Fry. You can still purchase a ticket in time for the drawing. Tickets can be purchased at the rectory as well as at the Fish Fry. (School families can always purchase tickets through the school, but as we are not in session tomorrow, we can't sell tickets to get you into the Early Bird Raffle.)
There are volunteer opportunities for both students and adults at all three of the St. Catherine Fish Frys.
