Smart Talk Conversations
Have you talked with your kids about online safety? Now’s the time! Join us for parent and student activities that will create safe online spaces.
March 12th in the Morehead Montessori Cafeteria. Dinner at 5:30 pm with Programming at 6:00pm.
This event is intended for all families, including children. Following a short presentation from our guest speaker that is made for both parents/guardians and students to follow along, families will talk through part of a digital safety contract called the "Smart Talk" together. We hope to see you and your children there! We will also be giving away an Amazon Kindle Fire as a door prize!
Celebrating Diversity Night/Classroom Art Auction
Please mark your calendar for Friday, March 20, when Morehead will have its (rescheduled) Celebrating Diversity Night! We will celebrate the amazing cultures and diversity of our Morehead Community. The celebration will be from 5:30-7:30 and will include potluck dinner in the cafeteria (please bring a dish to share that represents your tradition or culture and if possible your own cup or water bottle!), cultural activities in the classrooms, and students' performances in the gym. Stay tuned for more info and if you have any questions please contact Amy Bryant amybryant27@yahoo.com or 410-258-9675.
It's Flu Season
As everyone is aware, the flu and cold season are upon us and have affected many of our students and staff during the past several weeks.
In order to make sure we take the very best care of your child as well as all the children here at school, we ask all of our families to adhere to the following:
- Please make sure we have accurate contact information so we can reach you when your child becomes sick at school.
- Please remember that students who have a fever, are vomiting, experiencing diarrhea or dealing with pink eye are not only miserable while at school but are sometimes contagious and placing others at risk for getting sick too. Students need to be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.
- Please make every effort to pick up your sick child as quickly as possible when we call as we promise not to call unless your child is really sick and in need of her or his parents.
While we love it when all of our students are in school and push hard for perfect attendance, we also know that when students are sick, it’s best for everyone for sick students to remain home until well and no longer contagious.
