All Things Baker!
Principal's Message!
As we leave teacher appreciation week behind and head into the final two weeks of school, I am once again inspired by a quote, Not all superheroes have capes, some have TEACHING DEGREES! I can tell you first-hand how thankful the teachers were for the outpouring of love and support from their Baker family! From flowers to candles to yummy treats, to (my personal favorite) sweet notes, they felt loved and appreciated more than I can express to you!
Now I want to turn that around and tell you how proud I am of our super kids at Baker. I started my day watching our outstanding group of 5th graders pair up with their littles and very patiently navigate field day making sure their little buddies got to experience everything! I saw them get Band-Aids, dry tears, demonstrate new activities, and exhibit so many servant leadership traits, my heart truly was bursting with pride! I ended my day watching some of those same kiddos who were now free to enjoy field day as "big" kids, show sportsmanship, patience, and kindness toward their own classmates! Thank you Coach Smith, Coach Buckles, and Coach Ramirez for creating a field day where all of this magic can happen!
Thank you to all the volunteers who braved the weather and supported your kiddos! Once again, cannot express how blessed I am to have all of you helping to keep Baker Elementary, Where Kindness is King . . . Simply the Best!
Sincerely,
Danielle Wallace
Huge Thank You!!
